It is with great pleasure to announce that we have been awarded a contract to present our Bicycle Skills Workshops to K-5 students of Lennox Unified School District throughout the 2016-17 school year.
Our hands on, interactive workshops are lead by LCIs – bicycle safety instructors certified by the League of American Bicyclists. Each workshop teaches a variety of skills to help build K-5 students’ abilities and understanding of essential bicycle and pedestrian safety. We bring bikes, scooters and helmets in a variety of sizes so all students can participate.
All Workshops take place during regularly scheduled PE classes and cover:
- Pedestrain Safety
- Stopping at all curbs and edges
- Looking 4 ways before crossing
- Making eye contact
- Helmet use and safety
- Making sure your bike is safe before your ride
- Starting and stopping properly
- Avoiding hazards
- Bike Control
