Walnut Park Kids Bike Skills Workshop

We are excited to bring our FREE Kids Bike Skills Workshop to SCAG’s demonstration project in Walnut Park,  kids will learn the essentials of how to bike safely in their community and especially to and from school. Bikes and helmets will be available for those who don’t have one. All ages welcome!

Camina en Walnut Park. As part of the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) Go Human campaign, and in collaboration with the LA County Dept. of Public Works and Dept of Health, Camina en Walnut Park will demonstrate improved pedestrian safety along Pacific Blvd between Florence Ave and Broadway Ave in Walnut Park.

The event will be held Saturday June 16th from 9am- 1pm, and will feature a bike rodeo, a bicycle repair station, a county resource fair, and tabling from local organizations. An event hub will feature speakers, performances, music, giveaways, and raffles for bikes, helmets, and other cycling accessories.

This event will provide an opportunity for residents and visitors to test out proposed street design changes, and share feedback with the County to help inform permanent active infrastructure improvements along Pacific Boulevard. The event is part of SCAG’s Go Human campaign, which has taken place in cities across Southern California since 2016.
