Bike Share Adventure

If you are bike-share-curious or don’t have a bike but want to enjoy the route, this free activity is for you and will include prizes, giveaways and lessons in using Metro Bike Share (MBS) and incorporating it seamlessly into your life.
We’ll meet near the Eastern end of the CicLAvia route, check out bike share bikes and helmets before heading out on a short, 4 mile ride on streets, ending at the Western end of the route . There, we will meet with Bike LA for a brief discussion on all things Metro Bike Share, answer questions and receive some Metro swag. After, you are free to explore the Route back to the starting point, collecting some goodies on our scavenger hunt.
NOTE: All MBS riders must be over 16 years old. The first 15 registered riders will have access to a free MBS bike. You are welcome to join the fun on your own bike if MBS bikes are sold out. All MBS bikes must be returned to Vermont/Exposition by 1:30.
Schedule:
10:30 Meetup. We will meet riders at the Vermont Expo MBS station for a safety talk and to check out MBS bikes.
11:00 roll out.
11:45 MBS Hub. We will roll on streets to the West Adams Hub for a conversation with Bike LA on MBS.
12:00 CicLAvia. Riders are free to explore the route on their own or join our ride leaders for the return ride back to Vermont.
1:30 Return Bikes. Riders can either stay with our ride leaders back to Vermont, or ride on their own. MBS Riders must return MBS bikes at Vermont /Exposition by 1:30
