SUMMARY:Safe Cycling Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Safe Cycling Workshop\nThis free workshop is for riders of all levels to learn and practice safe cycling skills together\, with in-class and on-bike components. \nRiders of all levels are welcome\, from experienced commuters looking to learn the rules of the road to families seeking safe tips for navigating their communities. \nThis workshop includes in-class instruction\, on bike skills lessons and a short group ride that will include some hills. \nParticipants will receive a free helmet\, bike lock and \n lights! \nWhat to Bring: Please bring a bike in good working order\, sunscreen\, water and snacks. Wear comfortable clothing\, including closed toed shoes. \nNOTE: This is not a learn to ride class. Participants will be expected to ride their bikes continuously for up to 30 minutes. \nWhen: Sunday\, August 30\, 2026 \nTime: 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. \nLocation: Helms Design District\, 8800 Venice Blvd\, Los Angeles\, CA 90034. Meet under the Helms sign at the corner of Venice Blvd. and Helms Ave. The workshop will take place in the patio garden at the East end of the parking lot\, near Hutchinson Ave. \nRegistration is free.
