Learn about the Open Streets event
In preparation for the upcoming Vernon-Huntington Park open streets event, River to Rail, happening on August 19, we are partnering with LACBC to provide on-bike safety education in advance of the event.
As Vernon’s first ever open streets event, River to Rail is expected to bring visitors and residents out of their cars and onto the streets to experience otherwise car-centric corridors to walk, roll, play, and gather.
This will be an exciting opportunity for local residents and businesses to meet their neighbors and enjoy the outdoors. Living in an urban environment means we don’t always think of our streets as safe, inviting places for people to gather, but they’re exactly what makes a community vibrant and distinctive — just like the people. Come get your family ready to ride!
